When I think of Sebastián Ligarde, two things come to mind: the friend and the teacher. As a friend I remember talking to him at four in the morning because Elizabeth had started labor. He accompanied me to the hospital, and stayed there many hours, with my family, until my first son Christopher was born. I also remember traveling to San Agustín Fl. In his “Vintage” Cadillac when the famous one was him, and the autographs were signed by him. Then as a teacher, I learned the importance of working with “truth”, and the technique of “acting minimalism” before the camera. Months later, Elizabeth and I were his first substitute teachers while he went to work in Colombia. All this I comment, because when you are lucky enough to have Sebastian Ligarde as a teacher, you will also have the luck of having him as a friend.
